On Tuesday April 24th 2012, The Government Services Administration hosted an Earth Day event at the U.S. Federal Government’s flagship building in New York City, 26 Federal Plaza.
The GSA has shown a strong commitment in environmental sustainability and energy conservation programs. As such, 26 Federal Plaza is enrolled in an electric grid reliability program called “Demand Response” with NuEnergen. With NuEnergen, the GSA is saving taxpayers +$100,000s per year while also acting as a good neighbor by helping to avoid regional black-outs. Many companies participated in the Earth Day festivities including NuEnergen.

Energy consumers have benefited greatly from this continuing decline but at some point this trend must come to an end. We are advising our clients to ensure they have a strategic plan in place to manage energy cost risk when the prices of natural gas finally reach bottom.
