East Coast grid, utilities prepare for Hurricane Irene

Keeping the lights on is no easy task and involves tons of people at multiple levels under normal weather conditions. So when a category one hurricane is threatening your systems, you don’t take chances. The entire East Coast energy complex is currently working to protect the system from any damage the storm may cause. Here is a the story by T.L.
